As of February 13, 2004:

Comedero----42%
Salto-------83%
Huites------16%

Corp of Engineers at Huites is drawing a lot of water to help fill Hidalgo lake. In the past month the Corp has taken about 20% of the lake capacity and put it in Hidalgo & Dominguez which are the lakes that directly supply the water to the irrigation canals. Huites serves as a holding reservoir that first catches the water from the rains in the mountains.

Comedero is holding steady and probably won't drop any water until the irrigation season starts in January. Then it will be a slow draw down of about 1 to 2 inches per day which won't affect the fishing.

El Salto is falling very slowly and should continue to fall about 1 to 2 inches per day for the remainder of the season . This should not be a factor in the fishing at all.
