Garod Remus & Guy Smith – NE    Gared & Guy fished watermelon Senkos wacky rigged in 5-10 ft of water.  They had 101 bass including a 9.75 lb trophy and a 9 lb beauty.  Guide Manuel

Dean Settje & Jacob Schaffer – NE   Dean & Jacob landed 101 bass including a beautiful 9.8 lber.  They fished green worms in 5-10 ft of water.  Guide Armando, Sr.

Paul Strommen, Kirk & Andy Olson – NE   Paul, Kirk and Andy had 131 bass for the day.  They fished watermelon Senkos in 1-5 ft of water.  An 8 lber was their largest.  Guide Victor

Other anglers landed 9 bass over 6 lbs.  They also fished with watermelon lizards and blue/black jigs.  Nearly all anglers fished in less than 10 ft of water.

Carlotta Appleman & Tom Hanna – FL   Fishing white spinnerbaits in 3-6 ft of water, Carlotta & Tom caught 50 bass including 2 beauties – an 8.8 lber and a 10 lber.  Guide Jorge

Paul Stromen, Dean Settje & Kirk Olson – NE   Another fantastic day of fishing for Paul, Dean & Kirk.  They had 97 bass for the day including another 9 lber and an 11 lb trophy.  They fished 6″ cinammon worms and 6″ watermelon lizards with chartreuse tails in 6+ ft of water.   Guide Armando, Jr.

Garod & Gerald Remus – NE    Garod & Gerald fished white spinnerbaits and green lizards in 10 ft of water.  They had 30 bass with a 9 lber as their largest.  Guide J. Manuel

Other anglers fished using white flukes, black/blue jigs, watermelon flukes, Pop R’s, and white & chartreuse spinnerbaits.  All anglers fished in 20 ft or less of water.

Paul Strommen, Dean Settje & Kirk Olsen – NE    These guys had a great day of fishing.  They landed 94 bass, and their total included an 8.5, four 9’s and a 10 lb. trophy.  They fished 8″ watermelon red lizards in 20 ft of water, and 5″ brown worms in 1-10 ft of water.  Guide Victor

Gordon Brookman – MO     Gordon fished alone and landed 65 bass. He had three 7’s, an 8, and a 9.8 lb. beauty for the day.  His bait of choice was watermelon red Senkos in 1-15 ft of water.  Guide Emmanuel

Jim & Debbie Kaempfer – MO   Jim & Debbie fished brown/blue jigs in 5-10 ft of water, and 8″ watermelon red lizards in 20 ft of water.  They had 36 bass including a nice 9.4 lber.   Guide Enrique

There were 10 bass caught today over 8 pounds.  Other anglers fished white Rat-L-Traps, chrome/blue Rat-L-Traps, white spinnerbaits, Pop R’s and pumpkin worms.

Barry Holt & David Hallmark – AL    Barry & David had 62 bass for the day.  They fished black/blue jigs and watermelon jigs in 7-10+ ft of water.  Guide Juan

Carlotta Appleman & Tom Hanna – FL    Carlotta & Tom fished black Chug Bugs in 6 ft of water, and white/chartreuse spinnerbaits in 8 ft of water.  They had 44 bass with a 7.8 lber as their largest.  Guide Emmanuel

Ron Clark & Jerry Aytes – GA & IN    Ron & Jerry fished blue/black jigs in 20-25 ft of water.  Guide Hector

52 degrees at 5am warming to 74 at noon.  Clear day with a little wind in the afternoon.

Barry Holt & David Hallmark – AL    Barry and David had 63 bass with 7 & 8 lbers as their largest.  They used black & blue jigs in 3+ ft. of water.   Guide Hector

Ron Clark & Jerry Aytes – GA & IN   Ron & Jerry also fished black & blue jigs.  They fished in 12+ ft of water.  Their largest fish weighed in at 7.8 lbs.  They had 30 bass.   Guide Juan

Tom Hanna & Carlotta Appleman – FL    Tom & Carlotta fished 8″ watermelon lizards in 6+ ft of water, and green jigs in 14 ft of water.  Their largest fish was a 7.8 lber.  Guide Emmanuel

Sandy & Terry Russell – TX     Sandy & Terry fished watermelon seed lizards, and white spinner baits in 10+ ft of water.  Their daily total was 50 fish.  Their largest bass was a 9.11 lb. beauty.    Guide Armando, Sr.

J.W. Peterson & Jamie Beach – TX    Fishing watermelon 8″ lizards in 5-20+ ft of water, J.W. and Jaime had 75 bass for the day.  Their largest weighed 8.11 lbs.  Guide Victor

David Strahan & Dave Albert – TX     David & Dave had 65 bass.  They used chrome & blue Pop R’s in 1-5 ft of water, and 8″ watermelon lizards in 2+ ft of water.   Guide German

Other baits used were black & blue jigs, sexy shad and chrome/blue Rat-L-Traps, and white & chartreuse spinnerbaits.

60 degrees at 5am warming to 72 at noon.  It was raining in the morning but cleared off in the afternoon.

1/30/2010

Group 3 ended the week with a grand total of 603 peacock landed.  There were 57 over 10 lbs., 27 over 15 lbs., and 5 over 20 lbs.  The largest weighed in at 24 lbs.

No one fishing from the Otter the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 6.

J.W. Peterson & Jaime Beach – TX     J.W. & Jaime fished chrome & blue Chug Bugs, silver Chug Bugs, and white spinnerbaits in 1-5 ft of water.  They landed 75 bass including 9.2, 9.8 and 10.2 lb trophies.  Guide Victor

Terry & Sandy Russell – TX   Another good day of fishing for Terry & Sandy.  They had 59 bass including a 10 lb beauty.  Their baits of choice were white spinnerbaits and white Chuggers.  They fished 3-8+ ft of water.   Guide Armando

Chad & Jim Ridenour – IN     Chad & Jim had 73 bass for the day.  They fished white spinnerbaits in 10+ ft of water, and white Money Minnows in 5+ ft of water.  Guide German

Anglers also fished using white & black Chug Bugs, green pumpkin jigs, black & blue jigs, and 8″ watermelon lizards.  Boat totals averaged 58 bass.

60 degrees at 4am warming to 72 at 11:30am.  Cloudy in the morning and rain in the afternoon.

Doug & Rodney Foster – TX    Doug & Rodney fished yellow magics, Pop R’s, and Money Minnows in 8-10 ft of water.  They landed 80 bass including 9.2, 8.2 & two 7 lbers.  Guide Victor

Rob & Caroline Kruger – UT    Fishing Flatlands bluegill jigs and spinnerbaits in 15 ft of water, Rob & Caroline had 35 bass including a nice 9.6 lber.  Guide Hector

Terry & Sandy Russell – TX   Terry & Sandy fished white spinnerbaits in 1-8 ft of water.  They had a 9.2 lber in their 47 fish total.  (They had a double digit bass yesterday but due to bad fax quality the exact poundage was not legible.)    Guide German

Other baits used were chrome Chug Bugs, green jigs, watermelon jigs, blue/black jigs, and white & green spinnerbaits.

Jamie Beach & J.W. Peterson – TX     A fantastic day of fishing for Jamie & J.W. as they landed 120 bass including several trophies.  Their largest fish weighed in at 12.0, 11.8, two 10’s, 9.2,9.0 and 8.7 pounds.  They fished white spinnerbaits in 2-6 ft of water, and watermelon red lizards in 10 ft of water.   Guide German

Doug Foster – TX    Doug fished alone and had 45 bass.  He fished shad Money Minnows and shad swimbaits in 1-10 ft of water.  Guide Hector

Barry Holt & Dave Hallmark – AL     Barry & Dave fished watermelon Senkos and black/blue jigs in 10+ ft of water and caught 88 bass for the day.  Their largest bass was a 9.3 lb beauty.   Guide Jorge

There were 13 bass landed that weighed 7+ pounds.  Anglers also fished using chrome/blue & chrome/black  Rat-L-Traps, chartreuse flukes, and green pumpkin jigs.
