2/23/2010

Bryce Lander & Dan Hansen – AR    Bryce had the largest fish for the day.  He landed a 10.4 lb trophy.  He & Dan had a total of 72 bass.  They fished 1-10 ft deep using watermelon red Senkos.   Guide Sanchez

Hank Wallington & Tim Dooley – AR    Hank & Tim fished chartreuse spinnerbaits in 1-5 ft of water.  They landed 40 bass including two over 9 lbs.   Guide Armando, Jr.

Brandon Harrison & Amy Harrison – OK   Brandon & Amy had 65 bass including a nice 8.7 lber.  Their baits of choice were red Rat-L-Traps in 3-10 ft of water in the morning and chrome/blue Rat-L-Traps in 5+ ft of water in the afternoon.   Guide Armando, Sr.

Other anglers used 8″ watermelon red lizards, watermelon red brush hogs, white and white/chartreuse spinnerbaits, blue/white Yellow Magics, and rainbow Rat-L-Traps.  Boat totals ranged from 38-80 bass for the day.

Clyde & Brenda McAfee – TX    Fishing 8″ watermelon red/chartreuse, Clyde & Brenda had 35 bass including two 9 lbers.  Guide J. Manuel

Lynn Beatty & Dave Faulkinberry – LA   Fishing 18 ft deep with 8″ watermelon red lizards, Lynn & Dave had 42 bass with their largest weighing in at 8.3 lbs.  Guide Oscar

Mike & Cathy Wheatley – TX   Mike & Cathy fished black/blue jigs in 8-15 ft of water.  They had 39 bass.   Guide Jorge

Other anglers also fished using white/silver Pop R’s, white spinnerbaits, and Carolina rigged 12″ Siesta Buster worms.

Clyde & Brenda McAfee – TX    A great day of fishing for Clyde & Brenda as they each landed a 10.8 lb. trophy.  They had a total of 63 bass.  Their bait of choice was 8″ watermelon red lizards fished in 10-12 ft of water.   Guide J. Manuel

Mike Hicks & Rick Hutchinson – LA    Mike & Rick had 80 bass for the day including a nice 8.8 lber.  They fished pearl and blue/white crankbaits in 1-20 ft of water.   Guide German

Gary Bass & Randy Wood – LA    Fishing wacky rigged watermelon red Senkos in 1-15 ft of water, Gary & Randy had 68 bass including two 8 lbers.   Guide Sanchez

Other anglers fished white and white/chartreuse spinnerbaits, watermelon red flukes, pumpkin, and green/chartreuse jigs.

Robert Johnson & Albert Moore – LA    Robert & Albert had 89 bass for the day.  They fished watermelon red Senkos rigged wacky style in 5-9 ft of water.   Guide German

Clyde McAfee & Brenda McAfee – TX      Clyde & Brenda  fished watermelon/chartreuse 8″ lizards and watermelon Senkos in 8-15 ft of water.  They had 60 bass.  Their largest weighed 6.8 lbs.   Guide Armando, Sr.

Scott Cooksey & Ricky Wood – LA    Scott & Ricky had the big bass for the day.  It weighed in at 9.2 lbs.  White spinnerbaits were their lure of choice.  They fished up to 14 ft deep.   Guide Sanchez

Other angelers fished using wacky rigged watermelon worms, Texas rigged 8″ watermelon candy lizards, black/blue jigs, and citrus Rat-L-Traps.  All anglers fished in water up to 15 ft.

60 degrees at 4am warming to 76 at noon.  Clear day with a little wind in the afternoon.

Barry Matlack & Wendell Cook – AZ    Barry & Wendell found some big ones today.  They had 59 bass including 9.2, 9.6 and 10.8 pound beauties.  They fished in 5-15 ft of water using pumpkin and pumpkinseed jigs.  Guide Armando, Jr.

Jerry Smith & Richard Noble – CO & NE    Jerry & Richard also had a bass over 9 lbs. today.  They fished watermelon flukes and black/blue jigs in 5-10 ft of water.  Guide Victor

Roger & Clarence Harman – TX    Roger and Clarence fished white spinnerbaits in 8+ ft of water, and 8″ watermelon lizards in 6+ ft of water.  They landed a total of 67 bass.  Guide Pedro

Joel Pearson & Anna Prete – British Columbia, Canada      Joel & Anna had 118 bass for the day.  They fished 10″ ribbon tailed worms in 10+ ft of water, and chrome/black Rat-L-Traps in 9-10 ft of water.    Guide Juan

Jim & Debbie Kaempfer – MO     Jim & Debbie fished watermelon, and chartreuse Senkos in 5-10 ft of water.  They landed 83 bass including one over 8 lbs.  Guide J. Manuel

Gordon Brookman – MO   Gordon had the big fish for the day with a 10 lb trophy.  He fished 8″ watermelon red lizards in 10-12 ft of water, and white spinnerbaits in 2-10 ft of water.  He had 34 bass for the day.  Guide Armando, Sr.

Paul & Roger – AZ & OH    Paul & Roger had 84 bass while fishing watermelon Senkos wacky rigged.  They fished 1-10 ft deep.   Guide Juan

Anglers also used 8″ watermelon lizards, and brown Hula Grabs. 

68 degrees at 5am and remained 68 all day.  Cloudy all day with a cold wind.

Joel Pearson & Anna Prete – British Columbia, Canada      Joel & Anna had 63 bass including one over 8 lbs.  They fished 5″ watermelon Senkos in 1-4 ft of water, and watermelon flukes in 1-10 ft of water.  Guide Juan

Jim & Debbie Kaempfer – MO    Fishing white flukes in 1-5 ft of water, and white/chartreuse spinnerbaits in 5-10 ft of water, Jim and Debbie landed 72 bass including one over 8 lbs.   Guide Armando, Sr.

Gordon Brookman – MO    Gordon fished alone and had 35 bass.  He fished white spinnerbaits in 6-12 ft of water and black/blue jigs in 10-15 ft of water.  His largest bass weighed 7.8 lbs.   Guide Jorge

Other anglers fished 6″ Senkos in blue, green and green pumpkin.  No one fished deeper than 15 ft.
